Lift Truck Chain New Mexico

Lift Truck Chain New Mexico - New Mexico is a state located in the western and southwest regions of the United States. The state of New Mexico is also often considered one of the Mountain States. With a population density of 16 per square mile, New Mexico is the sixth-most sparsely occupied U.S. state.

The area was occupied by Native American populations for lots of centuries, before becoming part of Mexico, part of New Spain, and a U.S. territory. New Mexico has the highest percentage of Hispanics over all other US states. This group of Hispanics comprise descendants of Spanish colonists and the recent immigrants from Latin America. It also has the second-highest percentage of Native Americans, following the state of Alaska, and the fifth-highest total number of Native Americans following the states of Oklahoma, California, Texas and Arizona. The tribes in New Mexico consist of mostly Navajo and Pueblo peoples. Thus, the culture and demographics of the state are unique for their strong Hispanic and Native American influences. The flag of New Mexico is represented by the red and gold colors, which represent the Zia symbol, an ancient Native American symbol for the sun, and Spain.

Oil and gas production, tourism, and federal government spending are important drivers of the economy of the state. State government has an elaborate system of technical assistance and tax credits to promote business investment and job growth, specially in new technologies.

New Mexico's Gross Domestic Product in 2010, was around $79.7 billion. The state ranked 43rd within the US during the year 2007, with a per capita personal income at $31,474. During the year 2005 the percentage of persons below the poverty level was 18.4%. The Tourism Department of New Mexico estimates that during Fiscal Year 2006 the travel trade within New Mexico generated expenditures of $6.5 billion. As of the month of August 2011, the unemployment rate of New Mexico was 6.6%.

The state of New Mexico is the third leading natural gas and crude oil producer within the country. The Permian Basin (part of the Mid-Continent Oil Field) and San Juan Basin lie partially in New Mexico. During 2006 New Mexico accounted for 10.2% of the natural gas liquids, 3.4% of the crude oil and 8.5% of the dry natural gas produced in the country. During the year 2000 the value of oil and gas produced was $8.2 billion.

A lot of the federal jobs relate to the military; the state of New Mexico hosts three air force bases: Holloman Air Force Base, Cannon Air Force Base and Kirtland Air Force Base; a testing range called White Sands Missile Range; and an army proving ground and maneuver range at Fort Bliss - McGregor Range. A May 2005 estimate by New Mexico State University is that 11.65% of the state's total employment arises directly or indirectly from military spending. Other federal installations comprise the technology labs of Sandai National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
