 Lift Truck Chain Concord - Concord is situated 29 miles east of San Francisco, California in Contra Costa County. The city itself covers 31.13 square miles and in 2000 had a population of 121,780, making it the biggest city in the County. The city rests nearby Mt. Diablo.
Concord is amongst the fastest growing countries within the San Francisco Bay Area. Around 13 percent of the Contra Costa County population, represented by the population within Concord. The central location to surrounding communities as well as its copious population makes Concord the best place for companies to locate. It provides a large customer base and an educated workforce.
The location of Concord offers great access for residents to Silicon Valley, San Fransisco, Napa valley and Sacramento. The Immediate Bay Area offers different activities and scenic routes and the warm weather conditions encourages residents to enjoy the scenic attractions throughout Northern California.
In downtown Concord, the main attraction is Todos Santos Plaza, that is well-known for its farmers market. It has many destination restaurants and free summer concerts. To be able to take advantage of the public transportation and the wonderful area round the park, the city has just redeveloped the downtown area, adding new condominium and apartment projects. Unfortunately, this has not totally solved the crime and homelessness issues in the downtown area.
Concord served as a bedroom community for the larger cities of Oakland and San Fransisco before. However, in the previous few decades, there has been an increase in the job market. Extensive back-office operations, such as those from Chevron and Bank of America, have been established, thus creating a higher variety in the local financial system. Among the largest shopping malls in the US, Sunvalley Mall, is situated here, and various auto dealerships, Cosco, and Fry's Electronics. Prior to being shut down in 2008, the web site hosting provider Atrivo also headquartered here.
